Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a site search tool is sent to the third-party provider operating that tool. The provider processes the request and returns any result. Beauregard Parish Court Docket does not maintain its own log of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, the message and contact details may be retained to respond or maintain the correspondence. We do not disclose that material outside the organization unless law requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, ordinary server and analytics tools may receive technical information such as:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files stored by a browser. They and analytics services help measure aggregate use, such as pages viewed and traffic patterns. Browser controls can block cookies, although some site features may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating, maintaining, and improving the site
- Passing a requested tool query to its provider
- Understanding aggregate use and page performance
- Diagnosing security or technical problems
- Delivering advertising that may be interest-based
No Court-Record Data on File
This site does not host, compile, sell, or maintain a database of court dockets or personal case records. It publishes reference information about the Beauregard Parish Clerk of Court, the Thirty-Sixth Judicial District Court, and public access channels. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party files.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside providers operate the search boxes displayed on some pages. Information submitted to one of those tools is subject to that provider's policy and practices. Its retention, sharing, and security choices are outside our control, so review its policy before submitting a query.
Links to Other Websites
The site links to official clerk, court, and Louisiana resources, along with third-party tools. A link takes you to a different service, whose privacy rules govern activity there. Review those rules before providing personal details.
Advertising providers may conduct their own cross-site measurement or interest-based advertising. That processing takes place on their systems.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited information may be shared with:
- Search providers that process a query submitted through their tool
- Analytics vendors used to measure traffic and performance
- Advertising networks that serve ads on the site
- Government authorities when a valid legal demand requires disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable safeguards are used for the information handled by the site. No online system can promise complete security, so absolute protection against unauthorized access cannot be guaranteed.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If such information is believed to have been provided, contact us so it can be addressed.
Your Data Rights
Louisiana's Public Records Law, R.S. 44:1 and related provisions, concerns public records held by public bodies; it does not make this private site a court-record custodian. Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
